Word Nerd Wednesday – He has entrusted to us the ministry of reconciliation

Happy Wednesday, friends, and welcome to another Word Nerd post! I’ve spent this summer working through several Bible journaling kits, including the “Currency of Grace” kit from BytheWell4God. It’s been so good! One of the things that stuck out to me this week is the phrase “ministry of reconciliation” from 2 Corinthians 5, and I thought I’d explore it a little more deeply with you today. Hope you enjoy!

Romans Word Study Round-Up: Righteousness, Fulfillment, New Life

Hello, faithful friends! It’s time for a Word study round-up! If you don’t know what a word study is, allow me to explain. Because the Bible was written in different languages (Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek), modern readers like us can benefit from studying it in its original language as well as our own. This usually means picking out one word or phrase that sticks out from the English (or Spanish, or French, or Italian, or Chinese, or Arabic…) text and looking up the original word in a concordance. This allows us to better understand the Bible in its original context… plus, it’s SUPER cool!!! See four (ish) examples of Romans Word study below, and new ones every Wednesday on my Instagram 🙂

Word Nerd Wednesday: Zateo/Seek

Honesty will always be my policy here, so here’s an honest moment: when I opened my Bible tonight, I didn’t expect to spend hours studying and journaling. I started out with watercolor pencils in my read-the-Bible-for-the-simple-joy-of-reading-the-Bible Bible (Message Canvas Bible). YouTube was playing in the background, but not anything super “spiritual”, just a plan with me video I was already watching. I’ve had a long day today, so I gave myself permission to just use the beautiful illustrations on the first page of Romans to unwind and relax.
