ONLY SIX MONTHS UNTIL THE NEW HUNGER GAMES BOOK COMES OUT!!! In the meantime…

Happy Wednesday friends! We’re officially six months away from the release date of Sunrise on the Reaping, the next prequel of the Hunger Games series. I think about this series constantly anyway (it’s kinda my favorite of all time), so it goes without saying that I’m SUPER EXCITED to have another book to read!!!! In the meantime though, I’ve got a little somethin-somethin up my sleeve…

Panem et Princesses: a fanfic series

mood board with images of princesses and dystopian inspired scenery

What if Disney princesses lived in Panem?

  • What if Aurora’s spindle wasn’t a spindle, but a poisoned crown or trophy?
  • What if Ariel only thought she was a mermaid because her mentally ill guardian has been poisoning her for years?
  • What if Elsa used her ice powers to freeze the hydroelectric plant in District 5?

This idea has gone from “another fun thing to think about” to no less than TWELVE short story/headcanon ideas that I hope to flesh out in 2025. Each month, I’ll (hopefully) be releasing a short story (at the very least, an elaborate outline) of what twelve different Disney princess stories might look like in the dystopian world of Panem.

Since I don’t want to get sued, this won’t ever be a published project… But if you’d like to read some unpolished, unedited, fanfic-like stories every month, feel free to join my email list! I’d love to share them with you : )

Let’s be friends!

I will for SURE be posting a series of bullet journal themes inspired by this idea, as well as a short devotional inspired by, of all things, a t-shirt 😆 So regardless, if you enjoy or are at least familiar with the Hunger Games series and/or Disney princesses, you’re sure to find something you’ll like from me next year.

What district would you like to see your favorite Disney princess in? I’d love to know!

Happy fangirling!
