The new and much improved Fangirl: Fulfilled devotional journal – now available on Amazon!!

Hello, my friends, and welcome to a very exciting update! Today I’m officially announcing the release of the new and improved Fangirl: Fulfilled devotional journal. I’ll share the process and the heart behind this new version, and where you can order one for yourself. Hope you enjoy!

Changes and improvements

Most of the pages in the new-and-improved journal function in the same basic way as the original: six pages of journaling space, designed to guide you through the process of taking a particular story or song, finding the themes that speak to your heart, and matching them with Biblical themes that have more power and ability to create lasting change and grow a deeper faith. Here are some of the pages that have been added to the new version:

Improved table of contents pages

The new journal includes eighteen sets of journaling pages, described in detail in this post. On the new and improved contents page, you’ll have a list of each one, ready to be filled with all of the fandoms you enjoy as you work through the journal. These pages also include a list of the beginning-or-journal pages that are included.

Sharing the Gospel and praying for your people

The next two pages in the new Fangirl: Fulfilled journal are part of something I’ve had on my heart since the beginning. They include a summary of the Gospel using the phrase “I am with you always” and space for you to write down the people and things you’re praying for. The goal of this journaling experience is to give us a tool both to build our own faith and understanding of the Gospel, and to share that truth with our fellow geeks, nerds, and fangirls. I’m excited to see what God will do!!

Changes to the “application” pages

The Fangirl: Fulfilled devotional journal has always included the following pages: Fandom, Verses, Application, and Prayer. On the application page, there is now space provided for you to connect each of your fandoms with a particular aspect of the Gospel story. You’ll be challenged to ask yourself: What does this fandom tell me about God? Does it speak to a redemptive or saving work on behalf of someone else? Of reckless, authentic love? What does it say about who I, and all humans, are in the eyes of God? Or does it speak to our weakness and need for a Savior? This addition will be invaluable in your efforts to share the Gospel, as it will give you a clear starting place from every last one of your fandoms. I am so excited to start using this technique in my own journal!

Other changes and additions

Also included in the new version of the Fangirl: Fulfilled devotional journal is a spread for your favorite things, from songs and books to movies and shows. You can also include Bible verses and quotes from favorite authors! These pages will give you space to prepare for the times when inspiration is lacking. Also included is an improved Vision Board spread where you can create a mental space or image for how you’d like to imagine your time with the Lord using this journal.

The other thing that I’m the most excited about with the release of this new journal is the fact that every detail is created by my own hands. While previous versions of the journal used a computer-generated font, all text and headings within this new version are handwritten and drawn by yours truly. It feels so good to see my own work in print for the first time! The body text of the journal has also been improved and refined.
