Hi guys, and welcome to another new series of posts! I bought a T-shirt a few months ago with nine different Disney princesses on it. The shirt says “God says I am…” at the top, and each princess has an affirmation/encouraging word along with a verse that’s supposed to go with it. So of course, I’m running wild with this idea and expanding on each and every one of these princesses, plus adding three more of my own. This series will be mainly taking place on my podcast, which is available on Spotify. Hope you enjoy!
Moana – always loved
Moana is one of my all-time favorite Disney princess characters. I love her story SO MUCH, and I’ve actually written a couple of different posts about her in the past. You can read one of those here : )
That being said, the phrase “always loved” and verse, Romans 8:38-39, fit super well with her Dark Night of the Soul moment when she’s desperate and defeated and wants to give up on her mission. God’s love surrounds us always, just like the ocean surrounds Moana. Listen to the podcast here:
This series of posts is a part of my ongoing Panem et Princesses theme for 2025, which was inspired by the NEW HUNGER GAMES BOOK COMING OUT IN MARCH 2025!!! I wrote/am writing a series of single-scene short stories featuring Disney princesses in the setting of Panem from the Hunger Games series. You can read Moana’s story hook here, and sign up for my email list to get access to the full story : )
I’m also creating a series of bullet journal themes based on these stories, which is so much fun! You can see how Moana’s District Four theme turned out here : ).
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s Disney princess devotional thoughts post. Tune in next month for Elsa! I pray you are safe, well, and growing in your relationship with Christ.
Have a great day!
