Here are my answers:
- How old were you when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?
I was saved when I was 9 years old, sitting on the floor in the big room of the first studio where I studied dance. My teacher sat the class down on the day after our end of year recital and shared the Gospel, and as soon as she asked us, “Does anyone want to ask Jesus into their heart?” it was like my hand shot into the air of its own accord. To this day, my relationship with Jesus has always been linked with dance.
2. How many times have you been baptized?
Just once, in November the year I got saved. I wish I could go back and experience it again! I was terrified of water at that point and could only think of how cold it was.
3. What Bible story or verse puzzles you most?
I think the verses where Jesus says, “Anyone who is not against us is for us,” but also “Anyone who does not gather with Me scatters” (or something to that effect).
4. What is something you would like to know about Heaven?
Will I ever see my Sweet Baboo (beloved cat who passed away this year) again? Will there be animals in Heaven? Will I finally get to pet a tiger?!?!
5. Who is the first person you knew on earth that you will look for or you hope will be waiting to greet you at the pearly gates?
My grandma, who passed away when I was in middle school. I never got to say a proper goodbye, so I’d really like to say a “hello, I’ve missed you.”
6. Why do you think the streets in Heaven are made of gold?
Gold is shiny and conducts electricity… Not sure why that’s significant, just thought of it just now 😆
7. What is the ONE burning question you can’t wait to ask Jesus?
What was Your favorite Scripture verse when You were human? another random thought 🤣
8. Other than Jesus, what person from the Bible are you most interested to meet?
The wives of all the famous prophets and disciples. Maybe not Job’s wife, but Abigail the wife of King David and some others as well. I’d love to know what their private lives were like, and what the women experienced being part of their ministry.
9. What are 3 things you won’t miss about being on earth?
cold weather, money (the necessity thereof), and having to take care of a physical body (eat, sleep, shower, etc.).
10. What is the best spiritual advice you have ever received?
When I was in high school, the lady who mentored me gave me this technique of processing things that happened to me and how to give them back to God. That has been so helpful!
