Fangirl Friday: some albums and new releases I’ve been loving 🎧✨😻

A few different blog sites had this tag going around called Fangirl Friday where they basically had complete freedom to gush about whatever they were fangirling over. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell this tag seems to have died, but I thought I’d participate anyway since fangirling is literally what I do 24/7/366.

If you’re new here, HI! I’m The Fangirl Fulfilled, and I will take any excuse to talk about my fandoms, big and small, even if it means taking part in a blog tag that no longer exists. When I’m not doing that, I love to talk about how the very extra most bestest songs, movies, and books connect to Bible verses and Biblical truths. I also enjoy finding random songs that sound good when cross-faded together and making aesthetic bullet journal themes. Hope you find something you like and stick around for more fun times 😸

“Sleepyhead” by Cavetown

My sister went through a phase where all she listened to was Cavetown and My Chemical Romance, with a dash of musical soundtracks thrown in here and there (as far as I know she still enjoys all those things). Rediscovered his work after hearing it in a YouTube video and his music is the definition of ✨aesthetic✨ and soothing, highly recommend. Also the album artwork is so cuuuuute

Speaking of my sister, here’s a link to her blog, where she writes about the meaning of precious stones and crystals 💎

“You Are Enough – Acoustic Version” by Sleeping At Last

I absolutely ADORE the original version of this song and they just came out with the acoustic version which is equally exquisite. I love how many layers the music has, and the vocals, and the lyrics which are so stunningly beautiful. Also this album artwork is nice with the watercolor designs and the Random Circle of Abstract Wonder in the center.

Here’s a post you’ll love about the beauty behind this uplifting song 💖

“Keeping Your Head Up” by Birdy

I’m seriously OBSESSED with this song. The music is amazingly nuanced, the lyrics are beautiful, and Birdy’s voice is just *chef’s kiss* She’s also captured the perfect blend of emotional honesty and lyrics that are easy to understand and relate to, all of it soaring over a track that you can’t help but jam out/sing along to.

Here’s a post you’ll love about the message of life at the heart of this song 💙

“The Waiting Room” by Tripp Lee

I love this entire album, it’s just the right blend of emotional honesty and awesome music. “Clouds” literally describes my life right now tbh and it’s so cool. Also a couple of the songs do the Thing Where An Artist References An Earlier Song In A More Recent One and it’s like ayyy I see what you did there 😎

I hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s Fangirl Friday post. Let me know what you think, and I hope you’ve found some new music to fangirl over (or at least give a listen).

Happy weekend!

Will you stay with me? There’s more to love!

  • Happy October, friends, and welcome to a new series of blog posts! I found this super cool devotional several years ago called Finding God in the Hunger Games, and I’m finally working through it. • Greetings, friends, and welcome to another Gospel According to post, where we connect the best stories and songs that humanity has to offer with deeper truths from Scripture!
