August 2023 bujo aesthetic – Jasmine and Raja theme

Happy almost-August, friends, and welcome to another bullet journal theme inspiration post! This month, I was largely inspired by Jasmine from the live-action Aladdin remake. Her style is so gorgeous, and her character has a bit more depth to it in this version, which I loved. So many bright and saturated colors! I also love tigers more than just about anything in the world, so I thought I’d make a bullet journal theme inspired by Jasmine and Raja. Hope you enjoy!

Headcanon

Stroking your best friend’s striped, richly colored fur as you stare into the sunset. Exploring every part of your father’s palace over and over again, finding new places to hide from the adults responsible for your behavior. Learning how to run a country, but knowing you’ll never actually be able to do so without a husband. Feeling trapped by the system you were born into, and finding little ways to be wild and free. Surrounded by rich colors, smells, and tastes, you long to bring life and light to the people of your city who need it most.

Jasmine is also a reminder to me of the “Bride” persona from the Wings study I created earlier this year. I love how Jasmine’s personality is represented in the live-action remake of Aladdin, and the way that she resists the people who try to silence her without growing hard against the people who care for and love her.

You can find out more about the different personas covered in this study here!

My Jasmine + Raja bullet journal theme

I hope you’ve enjoyed this month’s bullet journal aesthetic post inspired by Jasmine and Raja from the live-action movie Aladdin. Who is your favorite strong female protagonist? I’d love to know!

Happy journaling!
