Holy Week 2023 – A hundred lifetimes (Hunger Games quote)

Happy Holy Week, friends, and welcome to another fandoms as Gospel truth post! Today I’m remembering the adorable OTP that I love most of all (ssshhhh, don’t tell Percabeth), Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. I could literally write a novel about how much I love their story and how their love reminds me of God’s love for me. But I promise to try and keep this post to a reasonable length! I’m focusing today on the Hunger Games quote “You could live a hundred lifetimes and never deserve that boy.” Hope you enjoy!

Fandom: “You could live a hundred lifetimes and never deserve him, you know.” – Haymitch to Katniss, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Verses: Isaiah 50, 54:7-10, Ephesians 2:7-9, Jeremiah 31:1-3, Romans 5:6-8

Truth: Even though we don’t deserve it, God showers His love on us constantly. He calls us to stop trying to save ourselves and rely on Him for salvation instead.

Arrows Prayer Method: Archery as a Tool for Developing a More Intentional Prayer Life

Hello, friends, and welcome to another post on The Fangirl Fulfilled! Today I’m SUPER excited to introduce a new prayer journal I designed. This journal has a unique format inspired by ARCHERY!! That makes it the perfect gift for yourself or your friend/family member who’s either 1) obsessed with archery, 2) obsessed with Katniss and The Hunger Games series, or 3) all of the above 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️. This idea has been sitting in my brain for several months now, and I even had inklings of it up to a year ago, so I’m thrilled to see it in person and share it with you. Enjoy!

The Hunger Games – Mockingjay Armor (of God)

Welcome back to another episode of The Gospel According To, where we interpret the meaning of impactful book, movie, and song quotes using Scripture. This week, I wanted to reflect on one specific description of Katniss’ Mockingjay armor that has always been one of my favorites, specifically because of the way it relates to the famous Armor of God passage in Ephesians 6. Enjoy!!

Fandom: The Mockingjay Armor

Verses: Ephesians 6:13-18, Proverbs 4:23, Psalm 139:5, Romans 1:11-12, Psalm 119:11, Ephesians 6:12

Nugget: the armor that God equips us with when we put our faith in Christ is more than adequate and is specifically tailored to our own hearts and experiences.

Hunger Games Bullet Journal Theme – Rebellion, Uprising, Hope, Protest, Remembrance

Welcome to a new month and another bullet journal theme inspiration post. This month is inspired by The Hunger Games book (and to a lesser extent, movie) series, and specifically on Katniss’ growing awareness of and need to combat the oppressive system in which she lives. It’s also inspired by actual real-life events and real-life feelings and desires that I have right now. Enjoy!
